Today was a day for bringing daffodils into the house to nod their pretty heads and add a sweet scent that I love. I plant more daffodils bulbs every Fall so that one day I may have a "host" of daffodils, as described by William Wordsworth. But I seem to lose nearly as many as I gain and I find it difficult to stay ahead. The foliage always comes up beautifully, but sometimes the blossoms just don't re-happen. I welcome suggestions from readers of my blog. I do believe that where there is foliage there is hope!
One of my favorites in the vase is the pure white daffodil. I only have one of these blossoms in all of my outdoors world. I wonder if it was a mistakenly added to a mixture. Oh, I do like surprises!
i love daffodils, too. i had several with just green. i wonder if those were the ones i planted last year.
